Our Experience with ERLA Construction’s Exterior HardiePanel Renovation at Our Home.

As homeowners for nearly 30 years, we hired ERLA Construction for a HardiePanel exterior siding renovation at a home we own in the City of Los Angeles.It is difficult for us to concisely convey the extent of our disappointment with the range of challenges we encountered at different points during the project—from shortly after work began through a post-completion follow-up.We found some communications with ERLA Construction, including later direct communications with ERLA Construction’s CEO, difficult and deeply frustrating on repeated occasions.We felt fortunate to have had the involvement of a particular subcontractor for ERLA Construction. In our view, elements of the subcontractor’s contribution meaningfully improved our overall impression of the project.In sum, our experience was well below our expectations.
